52 Week Project: Week 21 – Paws

Hi everyone,

The theme for the 52 Week Project this week is paws.

Boo and I have had a busy week and we just wanted to do something a little silly. So here’s Boo showing off his photo tattoo. Oh, the things he does when he’s been hitting the water bowl!

Up next is Barking Lab Studio, New Jersey dog photography.

Have a great week.

XO,

Deanna

52 Week Project: Week 20 Wide

TGIF!

Wide is the theme this week. Shoot wide and show architecture or landscape.

I love getting this shot for clients when I can, it’s the bottom of one of the roads leading up to Red Rocks. It’s super dramatic landscape. I haven’t been able to get this shot with Boo Radley until this week and we were in luck with some dramatic weather too. It snowed on Mother’s Day! Normally, I’d be less than happy but I was really happy to have these clouds in the background. I used a bit of off camera flash to keep the dark sky but still have Boo Rad show up. What can I say? I’m in love. I’m thinking these would be great as big canvases so you can see all the details.

Have a great weekend.

Deanna

52 Week Project: Week 19 – Angles

Is it Friday already? Yippee!

This week the 52 week project is all about angles. During photos sessions I try to make sure I have plenty of different angles for variety. However, I love a good bobble head photo for certain dogs. It’s one of my favorite angles for Boo because I love the shape of his big triangle head and you get a great view of his eyes. I probably have 1,000 photos of him like this. I love this one with the brick pattern as the background.

That being said, changing the angles is necessary because looking at 1,000 bobble heads of the same pup, even if he’s adorable, gets a bit boring.

Today, I had Boo Rad jump up and put his paws on the branches of our maple trees. My husband and I bought these trees on our first wedding anniversary and grafted them together, that is why there are thick branches that connect the two trunks. If you look at them at the right angle they look like they are dancing. All together… awwww.

Emilee Fuss Photography, Sarasota FL is up next, click the link to see her 52 Week Project photos and continue following the links until you get back to StinkDog Photos.

I hope all you mama’s have a fabulous mother’s day. Especially my mother, who is smart, funny, charming, and reads my blog every week. Mwah! I love you, mom.

Deanna
