52 Week Project: Week 5 – A Day in the Life

Happy Friday!

The theme for this week’s project is A Day in the Life. Here’s Boo, doing what he does best.

Begging (and looking cute).

Wondering if I’m finished playing so he can go back inside (and looking cute).

Napping (and looking cute).

Boo Radley as Boo Radley

52 Week Project: Week 4 – Favorite Book

Happy Friday!

This week the theme for the 52 Week Project is favorite book. Oh, there are so many books I absolutely love! However, when your dog is named after a literary character you should probably go with that. So, here is Boo Radley playing Boo Radley from To Kill A Mockingbird.

It’s the scene where Boo is hiding behind the door in the Finch house after he rescued the kids, Jem and Scout.

Boo Radley as Boo Radley

Boo Radley as Boo Radley

My Boo Radley doesn’t seem as frightened as the fictional Boo Radley did. Perhaps if the fictional Boo Radley had a snack waiting for him he would have known everything was going to be ok.

Just in case you haven’t read the book, and you definitely should because it’s wonderful, Boo’s only line in the book is soon after this scene, he said to Scout, “Will you take me home?” Now you know, when you meet a dog in a shelter named Boo Radley it’s time for you to take him home.

I’m very excited to see what Georgian Bay Studios, Toronto, Ontario has done for this week’s theme. Click through all the links until you get back to StinkDog Photos.

Have a great week.

Consi & Buddy’s photo session at Red Rocks

Consi and Buddy are both former street dogs from Puerto Rico. To say they are lucky to have found their new home is an understatement. John, their dad, feels just as lucky to have found them.

We went to Red Rocks for a photo session and these guys were thrilled to be out and about. We walked the steps and the hiked the trail taking photos at different locations. What a fun day for all of us.

If you’d like stinkin’ cute photos of your pet book your own session here.

52 Week Project: Week 3 – Shadows

Yay! It’s Friday.

Shadows are the theme for this week’s 52 Week Project. I’m using shadow to depict the way some misinformed people see some dogs. I’m sure those of you with black dogs or dogs of a certain breed understand.

Don’t be scared people. The big smile, hopeful eyes, and the tail that wags so hard his entire bum moves from side to side, is nothing but love.

Have a lovely week.

52 Week Project: Week 2 – Joy

Happy Friday!

The theme for this week’s 52 Week Project is Joy!

Last week I mentioned that most of our shoots are done inside because Boo Radley is a bit of a mess outside. This week I took Boo up to Red Rocks and ran around the trail. Such Joy for both of us. I love to be outside and so does Boo and on top of that Red Rocks is one of my favorite places.

I ran around with him for an hour or so and then we took our photos. It was perfect timing too the sun was about to set and the sky looked gorgeous.

Here we are running. I say “we” because I’m running with him taking the photo.

Gorgeous sunset.

Getting the posed shot. Boo is kind of focused. Sort of.

Oh, another distraction. Rightly so this time. There was a black fox running into the brush behind us. I didn’t get a photo of the fox it was too fast! Also, Boo took off running towards it. Fortunately I keep his leash on him at all times and just edit it in post.
