The theme for this week’s 52 Week Project is Nighttime.
I would guess that most pet photographers don’t shoot a lot of late nights. That’s fine by me, I like to photograph bands when I can and I also shoot photo booths for parties so nighttime dog shots aren’t a normal thing for me to do.
I just did a really simple shot of Boo using a street lamp for light, I would have loved to do more but my awesome husband/dog handler has been out of town this week so Boo was attached to me during the shoot. Lol, I’ll let you guess how well that went.
The theme this week for the 52 Week Project is senior dogs. I took photos of about 75 dogs, a pig, and a parrot this week between the Denver Pet Expo and the Tails and Ales fundraiser and shockingly there were a lot of puppies but not so many seniors.
But I did take photos of Cooper prepping for the Expo and he is a sweet old boy. He’s my lovely friends’ dog and they are kind enough to bring him over when I need a model. I’ve really taking a liking to this spry fellow and they have a dog sitter if they ever need one. Hint, hint, go away guys, I want to cuddle with the Coop.
We had such a great time at the Denver Pet Expo. Our Super Hero photo booth was a hit! For those of you that came and had photos taken, thank you. The link for you to view the photos is right here, StinkDog Photos Super Hero Photo Booth. Please note that not all the images are up yet, I took so many photos yesterday it will take me a couple of days to get them all up, I appreciate your patience and promise to work my hardest to get them all up as soon as possible!!
When we weren’t taking photos of new clients we were taking photos of the rescue pups from different organizations. I’ll be sharing those photos as well along with the organizations they can be adopted from.
First up is Millie. She can be adopted through Animal House in Fort Collins. Animal House had a booth next to us at the Expo and we were happy to have such nice neighbors through the day. I’m sure it wasn’t easy seeing my light kit flash all day long.
The theme for this week’s 52 Week Project is Rule of Thirds. We are supposed to make a decision on visual weight and apply it to our photos. This week I’m focusing on Jazzy and Jordan’s beautiful mugs, most of the “visual weight” of the photo is concentrated on their lovely faces and showing off their fantastic personalities.
These good looking gals are part of my super hero series. I’ll be posting more from that series soon.
